Clear Creek 2010

We've started a new camping tradition - go camping when there is a torrential down pour. Yep, EVERYTIME we have gone camping in the last two years, we have been rained on. Not this wimpy drizzle, but big fat drops that make tons of mud.
Our first "rainy" camping trip this year was to Clear Creek Campground. It is up near City of Rocks/Idaho, Nevada and Utah borders. It has a sentimental value - David's great-grandfather helped to lay the "oil roads" back in the day. Apparently Grandpa (Allen) Burt lived in a shack up there. It is because of Grandpa Burt though that we visit there every year. It's tradition! It is quiet and remote. I love it. We have wonderful years of photos of the grandkids and the grandparents. I even have a four generation photo of Burt boys (Grandpa Burt, Steve Burt, Scott Burt and Jason Burt!). Grandpa has since stopped coming since he can't do the one thing he loved most about Clear Creek, fishing. But we still go and talk about the good ol' days.
My camera battery died shortly after getting there, so these are all the pics I have. And I have a photo very similar to the one of Maggie :)
