Time Out For Women

My friend Cami got me hooked on this - a weekend of fun and spiritually uplifting speakers! This year we even were able to participate in a service project. It was just nice to have a Saturday without running around with kids. :)

Maggie's 2nd Birthday and Cupcakes! Yum!

Girls all dressed for their Valentine's parties (2010)

Emma and Olivia at the library in the Academy of Sciences

Maggie being herself - wanted to use the potty (it was outside due to remodeling). Yes she dressed herself.

Some of the Burt children. Left to right: Bryson, Sammie, Maggie, Olivia, Josh, Sarah. May 2009

It's been a while...

Yes, yes, I know. I am a slacker. Life happens, you know. Well, quick update - still no grad school. I haven't decided if I am going to take the GRE this year (I have to muster up the motivation).
Also, we went to California last summer (I am sure I have photos somewhere I can post). Em had a great time going to the King Tut exhibit. And Maggie enjoyed cupcakes. Olivia, well, she just enjoyed having attention and getting to play.
Dave is still working at Orion Junior High. I am still working @ the State. Not much changed there.
Last summer, we did work on the upstairs bathroom. :) It looks nice. This year - the kitchen!!

I will work harder at updating this...but don't hold your breath! Happy February!

Hair Cuts - a day at the salon

Emma chose exactly what she wanted. I am really happy that she made the decision. Too bad that David hates short hair. :)

O's before picture. Yup. It was time for a cut.

Emma self portait.

Emma getting the cut

Olivia .... with Maggie watching. Love it!

Here are the hair cuts! I forgot to take a before of Emma, but you can see earlier posts.

Tea Party

Today, Maggie and Olivia had a little tea party. I loved it when Olivia exclaimed "Hey, she is even keeping her pinky out!" Maggie had some fun too. What a pair - they love each other and can't stand each other.

Maggie just loves being "like" her big sister. :)

Patience

See HJ, I eventually got these photos up! I also think that since I had some MOMMY time and nothing else to distract me, I was more motivated to do it. :) Enjoy all these posts!

Want your fortune read?

No, they aren't flashing gang signs. This is their silly pose. Crazy kids.

Emma as "Madame Magenta" whose real name is Zelda.
Her magical bandanas channel the "spirits".

Here's Beth - soon to be Rock Star!
